about

This track is inspired by a West African Rhythm called Sorsonet. The Taiko takes the bass line of this rhythm, normally played on drums known as Dun Duns. The handpan part is an improvisation played using two handpans.

Traditionally, Sorsonet is a mask dance of the Baga people of Guinea. The mask is kept in the forest and brought into the village at particular times when there are problems or illness. It is a guardian of the village and brings protection from evil.

Zone Zero Zero is a term used in Permaculture that refers to ones self within the Permaculture system - "the inner landscape; the place of mind where thoughts, feelings and imagination grow".
